David Lynch (CEO)
Interim Chief Executive Officer
David was appointed interim Chief Executive Officer in September 2016 and is responsible for overseeing the Corporation's core business areas comprising planning and projects, commercial, financial and business services and the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. He brings an extensive background in planning, financing and delivery of major projects including the successful concept to completion of Brisbane's City North Infrastructure (CNI) as CEO; where he oversaw the delivery of the Airport Link, Northern Busway (Windsor to Kedron) and Airport Roundabout Upgrade with a combined value in excess of $4 billion.
Having steered projects and organisations in complex and demanding environments, David most recently led the development of business cases for Brisbane's Cross River Rail and European Train Control Systems on behalf of Building Queensland and also chaired the evaluation of tenders for the supply and maintenance of New South Wales' $2.8 billion new intercity train fleet; stage 2 of the Gold Coast Light Rail and the Sydney Light Rail.
With a background in commerce, David spent a number of years at a major financial institution focusing on finance for infrastructure developments in Australia, London and Vietnam before returning to Australia to work in executive roles within Queensland Treasury Corporation and Queensland Treasury.
