Elsa is an experienced senior leader with significant leadership, commercial, operational and logistics experience in the aviation, aerospace, tourism, education and transport industries. She has a successful record as a business leader and is committed to excellence.

With a long and successful career at Qantas, Elsa was one of the youngest CEO equivalents of a Qantas Group airline, leading one of the most profitable airlines at the time.

Currently, Elsa serves as the Chair of Aviation Australia, Chair of Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC), Chair of the Legacy (Philanthropic) Advisory for the Children’s Hospital Foundation, and a Director of ARX Aerospace and Defense in Saudi Arabia.

Elsa brings a fresh approach to marketing, tourism, placemaking, customer experience, community and key stakeholder engagement, as well as strong governance and commercial acumen to the South Bank Board.

Elsa has also held many advisory roles, including Premier of Queensland Business Advisory Council Member, Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Business Advisory Council Member, and Olympic Games QLD Fundraising Advisory Committee.
