Brisbane's French Festival Returns To South Bank

Brisbane’s French Festival returns to South Bank bigger and better for a special edition

8 April 2024

Brisbane's popular French festival is set to make a spectacular comeback to South Bank on 5-7 July 2024.

Launching three weeks before the official opening of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, Le Festival is set to deliver a truly immersive, fittingly Olympics-inspired French cultural experience.

Brisbane French Festival Inc. President Adrien Do Carmo said the Le Festival team is delighted to come back ‘home’ to South Bank in 2024.

“Returning to where it all began is an incredibly exciting, full-circle moment for us,” Mr Do Carmo said.

“We have been gearing up for this special Paris 2024 themed edition for a couple of years, and I’d like to thank the community for supporting our event year on year.”

South Bank Corporation CEO Bill Delves also welcomed the return of Le Festival to South Bank.

“Our partnership with the Le Festival team represents a wonderful opportunity to showcase the vibrant French culture and further enhance the cultural experience at South Bank,” Mr Delves explained.

“We look forward to working with Le Festival to create an unforgettable event for the community.”

Le Festival 2024 will continue to celebrate the strength and resilience of the French community in Brisbane, with a program that highlights the best of French art, music, cuisine, and more.

Mini “Olympiades” in the Children’s Corner will be a highlight of this year’s program.

Masterclasses, a popular and integral part of the event, will also make a highly anticipated return to shine a light on French ‘table art’.

Entry tickets will be available for purchase on the Le Festival website from 8 April 2024.
