Precinct Project Works
South Bank Corporation has commenced important safety improvements to Grey Street (between Vulture Street and Russell Street) that will benefit pedestrians and motorists with upgrades to footpaths, centre road median crossings and lighting and landscaping.
Grey Street bikeway and streetscape preliminary design investigations
South Bank Corporation is undertaking preliminary design investigations for a bi-directional bikeway and new public realm on Grey Street.
Master Plan
South Bank Corporation has prepared its draft master plan for future South Bank that will guide the long-term evolution of the precinct. The draft master plan reflects community and stakeholder feedback previously received. Consultation on the draft master plan has now closed. The master plan is expected to be finalised for consideration by the Queensland Government in late 2023.
Connection to Country
The Corporation has commissioned a number of First Nations public artworks in South Bank. These artworks have been in collaboration with local First Nations artists and are showcases of the Corporation's commitment to celebrating past, present and future culture and stories of connection to country.
