Queensland Conservatorium is considered the most comprehensive tertiary music school in Australia. With offerings in classical instrumental studies, vocal performance and opera, composition, jazz, new music, popular music, musical theatre, music technology and electronic music, the Conservatorium helps aspiring musicians to find their places on the world stage.
The Conservatorium is also home to one of Australia's major performing arts companies, Opera Queensland (OperaQ) that serves metropolitan Brisbane and regional/remote Queensland through the development and presentation of opera projects that reflect its core values of excellence, community and adventure.
In addition, the Queensland Conservatorium Research Centre is also housed within the South Bank campus and provides opportunities for students to engage in cutting-edge research across five focus areas: education, artistic practice, technology, community music and health.
